Fujairah Aviation Academy Aviation Maintenance Engineering College is approved and recognized by both the UAE General Civil Aviation (GCAA) and European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) for the purposes of Aircraft Maintenance Engineer licensing. Fujairah Aviation Academy provides Aircraft Engineering training in the B1.1 Aeroplanes Turbine Engine, B1.2 Aeroplanes Piston Engine, B2 Avionics categories and A categories for Line Mechanic.
A category B1
A category B1 aircraft maintenance licence shall permit the holder to issue certificates of release to service following maintenance, including aircraft structure, powerplant and mechanical and electrical systems. Replacement of avionic line replaceable units, requiring simple tests to prove their serviceability, shall also be included in the privileges. Category B1 shall automatically include the appropriate A subcategory.
TRAINING PROGRAM
The combined course is scheduled for approximately 24 months divided into Theoretical Lectures and Practical Training as per UAE General Civil Aviation (GCAA-CAR147) and European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA- PART147) preceded by 7 weeks (180hrs) of Technical English Language as a prerequisite. The Aircraft Maintenance Engineering B1.1 Aeroplanes Turbine Engine, B1.2 Aeroplanes Piston Engine course scheduled as per the following phases:
Phase 1: It is divided into Theoretical Lectures and Practical Sessions (2200hrs) covering the following modules:
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Electrical Fundamentals
- Electronic Fundamentals
- Digital Techniques
- Materials and Hardware
- Maintenance Practices
- Basic Aerodynamics
- Human Factors
- Aviation Legislation
- Aeroplane Aerodynamics Structures and Systems
- Gas Turbine Engine
- Piston Engine
- Propellers
Phase 2: On Job Training:
This phase On Job Training consists of 400hrs training and will be conducted in Fujairah Aviation Academy Maintenance organization and in any external approved maintenance organization.
REQUIREMENTS FOR MAINTENANCE ENGINEERING COURSE ENROLLMENT
- Applicants must be at least 17 years of age.
- Applicants must present certificate in IELTS with minimum score of 4.5 or TOEFL with minimum score of 60% otherwise he has to pass Fujairah Aviation Academy Basic English Exam with minimum score of 50%.
- Applicant must pass Basic Mathematics and Physics examination at Fujairah Aviation Academy exam center with a minimum score of 50% in each subject.
At the end of the course the student will be granted two certificates of recognition approved by UAE General Civil Aviation Authority and European Aviation Safety Agency.
FEES OF MAINTENANCE ENGINEERING COURSE
AED 130,000 (AED One Hundred Thirty Thousand Only); the Fees are exclusive of UAE-VAT which will be charged additionally.
PAYMENT SCHEDULE OF MAINTENANCE ENGINEERING
First installment
AED 5,000 payable prior to course start date
Second installment
AED 5,000 will be paid on second month of the course
Remaining amount
AED 120,000 paid in twenty equal installments of AED 6,000
