Simulator

Our campus is host to 2 flight simulators used to enhance training by reproducing inflight conditions. These simulators are used in all stages of training and can be modelled as single-engine or multi-engine aircrafts, depending upon the student's requirements.

FNPT II (Flight Navigation Procedure Trainer II) is designed in the Diamond aircraft configuration. This is generally used by students up to the CPL phase of their training.
Alsim ALX is set up as a medium jet simulator, used mainly for MCC (multi crew cooperation) training. This simulator is specifically designed with a complex overhead panel, FMS (flight management system), autopilot as well as nose wheel steering amongst other things, to mimic an authentic jet cockpit.

Both simulators are GCAA approved, and hours flown in these are logged in the student's logbook.
